T’ai Chi is nonlinear, as is learning. Trying to learn can just make learning harder. Come to class, follow the form, absorb what you comfortably can, and eventually this stuff gets into your skin. Trust the process. Trust the principles. Relax.

Flexible Scheduling:

—> Come to as many classes per week as you like.

—> Come to any class you like—mix and match.

—> You may gift your classes to another if you move away, your schedule changes, or for whatever reason (but
contact me so I know what's happening!).

—> Travel or take time off as you need; when you return, your card, and your unused classes, will be there for you (after 18 months I move class cards to an "inactive" file for administrative reasons, but you can still access them— just contact me).

DC residents often have schedules that are unpredictable. To accommodate these, we offer flexible scheduling. Come to class as your schedule permits; you only pay for the classes you take.

Begin when you are ready to. Each class is its own freestanding lesson, geared to the group that is in the room at the time. And each lesson connects with all the others. Classes and enrollment are ongoing. Everyone participates and learns in accord with their own level of experience. We are all deepening our practice together.

How it works:

1) Register for 10 classes (
see registration page). You may also come to class and register by paying with check or credit card.

2) Come to class, and choose a blank index card from the box.

3) Put your name at the top of the card, and list the numbers 1-10 on the front of the card.

4) Next to the number "1", put the date of your first class.

5) File your card in the box alphabetically (use your first or last name, as you like).

6) The next time you come in for a class, put that date next to the number "2" on your card.

7) Rinse and repeat

8) When you've used up all your classes, (spaces 1-10 on your card are all full), it's time to re-register

Our classroom is at The Center, a short walk south from the Tenleytown-AU (American University) metro stop on DC’s red line. We are convenient to Chevy Chase, Friendship Heights, Van Ness, Palisades and Spring Valley, and we are right up Wisconsin Ave from Cathedral Heights, Glover Park, Burleith and Georgetown. On the WMATA Metro Red line, we are only a few stops from Cleveland Park, Woodley Park, DuPont Circle, Farragut North, Metro Center, Chinatown / Gallery Place, Judiciary Square, Union Station and the NoMa - Gallaudet, Brookland / Catholic University Fort Totten, and Takoma Park stops.
If you are taking the silver, orange or blue lines, such as from Rosslyn or George Washington University / GWU / Foggy Bottom, WMATA's Farragut Crossing allows free above ground transfers between Farragut West and Farragut North Metro stops.
